Bathua Raita is a tasty and healthy dish, its rich in calcium and vitamin A and can be served with any rice dish.

Required ingredients

  • 1 cup bathua leaves, chopped
  • 4-5 garlic cloves
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 mustard seeds
  • 2 cup curd salt to taste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • ½ cup boondi (optional)

Directions & How to

  • Boil bathua leaves, garlic and green chillies for about 5 minutes.
  • Strain the leaves and grind to a fine paste, when it cools itself.
  • Heat oil in a small pan, splutter cumin and mustard seeds and temper the bathua paste with it; keep aside.
  • Beat the curd lightly and the bathua paste, salt, cumin powder and boondi; mix well.
  • Serve as accompaniment with any dish.
