Beetroot Halwa

Beetroot halwa is a delicious dessert, it is easy to make and healthy too.
Required ingredients
- 500 gm small beet root, grated
- 3-4 green cardamom crushed
- 3-4 tbsp. ghee (clarified butter)
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ cup cream
- ½ cup unsweetened milk powder
- ½ cup milk
- Chopped nuts, as required.
Directions & How to
- Place grated beet root in zip pouch and microwave for 5 minutes.
- Heat ghee in a wok or deep frying pan; add cardamoms, sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add the beet root and fry for 5 minutes. Add sugar, mix well and lower the heat.
- Mix together cream, milk powder and milk without any lumps. Add it to beet root and stir well.
- Let it cook till ghee starts to appear on the sides.
- Stir in chopped nuts and serve.
