Besan Ki Roti is a healty Indian flat bread. Very nutritious and serve as a great sunday brunch
Required ingredients
- 2/3rd cup gram flour
- 1/3rd whole wheat flour
- 1 pinch nigella seeds
- 1 tbsp. chopped onion
- 1/4th tsp. salt
- 1/4th tsp. cumin seeds
- ½ tsp. chopped green chillies
- Warm water to knead the dough
- Some dry whole wheat flour roll out roles.
Directions & How to
- Mix all the ingredients (except water) in a large glass bowl and mix well with a fork.
- Slowly add water in batches and make pliable dough and keep aside for 20-30 minutes
- Heat a tawa or non-stick pan. Make 5 smooth balls of the dough. Take 1 ball, press lightly in the dry flour and flatten the ball. Roll out 5 to 6 inch diameter roti
- Put the roti on to the heated tawa, flip the sides in few seconds, cook the roti on both sides, keep pressing with a clean cloth for even cooking.
- Serve with your choice of saag or vegetable.
