Chana Rasedar, tastes great with steamed rice, an ideal healthy lunch.
Required ingredients
- 1 cup boiled kaley chana
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- ½ tsp dry mango powder
- 2 tbsp oil
- ¾ cup water
For masala paste
- 1 small onion
- 1 medium sized tomato
- 5 garlic cloves
- 1 cm ginger
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- ½ turmeric powder
Directions & How to
- Put all the ingredients of masala paste in a grinder and grind to a fine paste.
- Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaf and cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
- Add the ground paste and cook till oil separates.
- Now add the chaney, stir well, add water, dry mango powder and let it cook on simmer for 10 -15 minutes covered.
- Sprinkle garam masala and serve with rice.
