Chaney ki ghughni gives your tastebuds and health a boost. With this easy dish make your sunday breakfast easy and fulfilling  or serve with evening tea.

Required ingredients

  • 1 cup Kala Chana (Black Gram) soaked overnight.
  • 1 medium sized onion chopped
  • 1 medium sized tomato chopped
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 green chilies chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil

Garnish

  • Grated radish
  • Lemon wedges
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • Chopped onion
  • Grated cucumber

Directions & How to

  • Cook chanas with salt in a pressure cooker for 15-20 minutes till completely soft. Dry out any excess liquid leaving only about 1-2 tbsp of water
  • Heat oil in wok, add cumin and green chilies and sauté for few seconds
  • Add onions, cook till soft now add tomatoes and cook till they form paste like consistency.
  • Now add boiled chanas, mix very well and cook further for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish and serve.
