Chicken pakoras is prepared with boneless chicken chunks marinated in spices, dipped in a thin batter and fried till crispy.
Required ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 500 grams chicken breast - cut into medium size fingers or small chunks
- Oil for frying
For marination
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- Juice of a lime
- Salt as per taste
For batter
- 1/2 cup gram flour or besan
- 2 tbsp rice flour
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp red food color
- Salt as per taste
- Water as required
Directions & How to
- Mix all the ingredients for marination and marinate the chicken in it for at least half an hour to 1 hour.
- Prepare a thin batter using all the ingredients given for making the batter.
- Dip the chicken pieces in the batter and deep fry them in hot oil till done and crispy. *Do not over crowd the pan while frying, fry it a little at a time or in small batches for better results.
- Serve hot with tomato sauce and any cheesy dip.
