Crisp and tender bites of chicken, Chicken popcorn a dish loved by all the kids. Here’s the quick and easy way to prepare it.

Required ingredients

  • 200 grams chicken breast - cut into popcorn size pieces or small bite size pieces
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1tsp onion powder - optional
  • 1 tsp soya sauce
  • 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 4 tbsp corn flour
  • 4 tbsp refined flour
  • 4 tbsp bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Directions & How to

  • In a bowl take ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, soya sauce and salt. Marinate the chicken chunks in it for 1-2 hours.
  • In a small bowl mix corn flour and refined flour. Season it with salt and a little chilli powder.
  • Spread the chicken chunks on a plate. Sprinkle around 2-3 tbsp of flours and a tbsp of bread crumbs on it and mix well. Now sprinkle a tbsp of milk and mix again. Repeat the same procedure with the flours and crumbs and milk 2 more times.
  • Deep fry the crumb coated chicken bites in hot oil on medium high heat till golden and crispy. ( Dont overcrowd the pan while frying, do fry in small batches.)
  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
