Mango raita…quick and easy to cook mango raita, a yummy accompaniment to your meals and a good variation to your regular raitas. Mango raita is a summer delight, the combination of mangoes and yogurt is very appealing as well as tempting.
Required ingredients
- 1 cup yoghurt
- 1/4 cup finely chopped mango
- 1 tsp sugar - optional
- A little black salt
- Salt as per taste
For tempering
- 1 tbsp chopped onion
- 1 dry red chilli
- 4-5 curry leaves-kari patta
- 1/4 tsp cumin seeds/zeera
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds/rai
- A pinch of asafoetida/hing
- 2 tbsp oil
Directions & How to
- Whisk the yoghurt with salt, black salt and sugar (if using) and refrigerate it till serving time.
- While serving mix in it chopped mangoes.
- Heat oil in a tarka pan, add all the ingredients for tempering and fry till it turns golden.
- Pour over the yogurt and serve immediately.
