Marble Cake looks great and tastes great too with hot cup of coffee or just chocolate sauce drizzled on it.
Required ingredients
- 3 eggs, at room temperature
- 1 ½ cup maida (refined flour)
- 1 ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup oil
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 tbsp chocolate sauce
- 2 tbsp hot warm water
- 1 tbsp coco powder
- Butter to grease the pan
Directions & How to
- Grease an 8” tube pan or a round tin with butter and keep in the fridge.
- Sift together flour and baking powder and keep aside.
- Separate the egg yolks from egg whites. Beat the yolks lightly.
- Beat egg whites till they are frothy; add sugar and beat till they form soft peaks.
- Add the beaten yolk, vanilla essence and oil slowly to the egg white and beat for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the sifted and flour in 3 batches and fold gently after each addition.
- Mix chocolate sauce coco powder and warm water to form dropping consistency mix.
- Now slowly drop chocolate mix in the batter in a string and mix very gently with a fork. You should be able to see the chocolate pattern.
- Transfer the batter in greased pan and bake in preheated oven at 180* C for 30- 40 minutes.
- When completely done turn the cake on cooling rack while it is still hot. Serve with coffee.
