Masala fish fry, use your choice of fish for this recipe. Small sized sea fishes like mackerel, sardines, lady fish, snapper fish etc tastes great with this recipe.
Required ingredients
- 10- 12 nos. of mackeral, sardines, lady fish or hilsa fish
- Oil for shallow frying
For marinade
- 2 tsbp mustard paste
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp cumin seeds and coriander seeds - roasted and powdered
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- salt to taste
- 1/4 cup roasted gram flour
Directions & How to
- Cut and clean the fish, make little slits on both the sides and soak it in a little salt water for about 15 minutes.
- Drain and pat dry.
- Mix all ingredients for the marinade and marinate the fish for 25-30 minutes.
- Shallow fry it on non stick pan till done and crisp.
- Serve hot.
