Bathua ka saag is very nutritious, high in protein and calcuim and it makes a very delicious green vegetable
Required ingredients
- 500 gm bathua
- 1 tsp. garlic paste
- 4-5 green chillies, roughly chopped
- 1 tsp. cumin seeds
- 1 tsp. garam masala powder
- 2 tsp. mustard oil
- Salt to taste
Directions & How to
- Separate the leaves from stock and wash them well. Blanch the leaves and grind to a paste (alternatively you can finely chopped the leaves)
- Heat oil in a wok; add cumin seeds, as they splutter, add garlic paste and sauté for few seconds
- Add the saag, green chillies and salt. Mix well and let it cook on low heat till oil start to flow on top.
- Sprinkle garam masala and serve with your choice of roti. Besan ki roti works well.
